John Torpey won his maiden ranking event when he won the third RIBSA Masters Ranking event of the season, sponsored by the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow on Sunday the 12th of November in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club, Carlow.
In the final he beat John O Sullivan 3 frames to 1 in a great match to lift the long awaited tital that had denied him on the 13 previous time he was in the finals.
