SBI Rules, Codes and Policies

Snooker & Billiards Ireland are the official governing body for Snooker & Billiards in the Republic of Ireland. SBI organise Snooker & Billiards Events all around the Country from September to May each year concluding with the National Finals in all different Categories.

SBI hold Senior Events, Masters (Over 40) Events, Ladies Events, Billiards Events, Intermediate Events, Challenge Events, Over 50 Events, Under 21 Events, Under 18 Events, Under 16 Events, Under 14 Events. All events have rankings lists and the top players qualify for various International events.

CHILD PROTECTION & WELFARE

SBI are committed to ensuring that the best interests of the children and young people attending or participating in our sport are of paramount importance. Our guiding principles and guidance documents are underpinned by national policy and legislation in Republic of Ireland Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children 2017, and the requirements under The Children First Act 2015.

This guidance complies with the Tulsa’s Child Safeguarding: A Guide for Policy, Procedure and Practice, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, The Child Care Act 1991, The Protections for Persons Reporting Child Abuse Act 1998 and the National Vetting Bureau (Children and Vulnerable Persons) Acts 2012-2016.
