National Super Seniors Championship

The Draw for the SBI Super Seniors (Over 55’s) National Championships which will be played on Sunday the 26th April – Newbridge CYMS was made today. All of the top players in action.

Action will start at 10am and it will be played down to the final. It has been a fantastic season but who will end up the National Champion??? and follow Frank Sarsfield who won the title in 2025.

Information on Super Seniors Snooker

This season will be holding six ranking events and a National Championships.

Dates & Venues

  • Event 1 – 14th September – Newbridge CYMS –WINNER BRENDAN THOMAS
  • Event 2 – 5th October – Newbridge CYMS – WINNER BRENDAN THOMAS
  • Event 3 – 9th November – Roadstone SC Dublin – WINNER PAUDIE KELLY
  • Event 4 – 11th January – Newbridge CYMS – WINNER PAUDIE KELLY
  • Event 5 – 7th & 8th February – Nenagh SC – WINNER MARK TUITE
  • Event 6 – 22nd March – Roadstone SC –WINNER BRENDAN THOMAS
  • National Championships 26th April – Newbridge CYMS

Start time for all first round matches will 10.00am. The Entry Fees for all events is set at €25.00 each.

Closing Dates

The closing date for all SBI events will 1pm on the Thursday before the event. The Draw will be done automatically on the system with match times and displayed on the web site.

It promises to be another exciting year of snooker with so many talented players looking to qualify for the Home Internationals, World and European Snooker Championships.

Closing Dates

Players should be aware that all entries are through the on line system and you have to enter before the closing date of Thursday at 1pm prior to each event.

How to Enter

All players will need to register for the new season by paying their SBI registration / membership or Renew their membership for the 2025-2026 season.

SBI Registration runs from 1st August to the 31st of August each season.

SBI Yearly Registration fee

  • Over 21 Membership is €40.00
  • Junior Membership – €25.00
  • Exemption Membership is €10.00

Remember you will only be allowed to enter an event if have logged in as a member using a valid username and password in the system.

Tournament Entry Fees

The cost of entry will be the following:

All Junior Events – €25.00

Live Streaming

We will be streaming 8tables in the SBI HQ in Carlow for all events

Format

Matches are played in a best of 5 frames knock out format in roll on and off basis in the venue. The Q-Final, Semi Final and Final are the best of 5 frames

Dress Code – National Championships

Failure to meet with the Dress Code Guidelines will result in being removed from the event.

  • In the National Championships, one coloured shirt buttoned at the wrist and Waistcoats can only be worn
  • Bowties are also required for all matches during Championship finals weekend.
  • National Waistcoats are not permissible at any SBI National event.
