Snooker & Billiards Ireland (SBI) would like to announce that the SBI Super Seniors (Over 55’s) Tour Championships will be held this season in the SBI HQ in Carlow. These events are open to players 55 years of age or over. Players should be aware that all entries are now through the on line system

This year’s SBI over 55’s National Championships were played on Sunday November 21st in St. Conleth’s CYMS in Newbridge. Play commenced at 12 pm with 13 players participating. In his opening comments TD Tony Thorpe remarked that this event is the very first Super Senior Tournament to be held in R.O.I. Plans are in place
First RIBSA National over 50’s Snooker Tournament of the season was held on Saturday the 9th of November in Newbridge CYMS. In the final former professional player Eugene Hughes beat Stephen Merrigan from Roadstone SC 3 frames to 1 in a high-class final. In the Semi-Finals Eugene Hughes beat Brian McPhee from Potters Drogheda 3-1
The National Over 50’s Snooker Championship will be held in Roadstone Sports and Social Club on Sunday 12th May. The entry fee is €20.00 and if you are not a registered Ribsa player you will have to pay an extra €5 for a one day registration fee. You can contact Jim Carrick or Stephen Merrigan to enter.
