Leone Crowley from Cork made it the perfect Junior season when he won SBI National U-16 Snooker Championships on the 8th of May in Newbridge CYMS in County Kildare.
This season Leone had already won the National U-18 and U-21 titles and today the young star of the future defended his U-16 National title to beat David Farrelly from Celbridge SC in a superb final 3 frames to 0 which was refereed by International Referee Paddy Hanifin.
Three Titles for Leone
This is a fantastic achievement for this 15year old Irish junior who won all three SBI junior national titles in same year. Leone has now won 8 national titles in his short career. Leone will now play in QSchool next week in the UK and SBI wish him and all the Irish players good luck.
Semi Finals
In the Semi Finals Leone beat Joe Shannon from Longford 3 frames to nil while David Farrelly from Celbridge SC played Max Kennedy from Galway played out a great match and it was the Dubliner who won 3 frames to 1 in other semi-final.

International Selection
Following this National U-16 Championships the players have now been selected for this year’s Celtic Challenge in Wales in July. Ronan McGuirk, Jack O Brien, David Farrelly and Ben Du Bois have now qualified to play in the prestigious junior event.
Training Day
SBI would like to wish the players good luck in the International event. We will be holding a training camp with PJ in the SBI HQ in Carlow on the 26th of June to prepare the players. All players are requested to attend in full dress including Irish Waistcoat and Bowtie
