IBSF World Championships

The Republic Of Ireland Snooker team for the 2012 IBSF World Championship has been now been confirmed with Johnny Williams, Greg Casey and EBSA Nomination Brendan O Donoghue competing in the Men’s event. Mark Tuite and Brendan Cooney will fly the Irish flag in the Masters event and it promises to be an exciting championship

The World Billiards Championship will be held in The Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds from the 18th to the 28th of October. Rules – Under Age Series

This season Junior Snooker in Ireland will be played in four zones in four venues on the same day. In the Nationwide events Under 14 and Under 16 events will be played together. Under 19 and Under 21 events will also be played together. The Nationwide events will qualify the top ranked players from each zone

Updated Rules Intermediate Series

Intermediate Rules following a subcommittee meeting in Carlow on Sunday 30th September. This year the Intermediate series will be played in four regions. Ireland are the HIBSF Champions

The Senior Team of Brendan O Donoghue, Rodney Goggins, Greg Casey, Johnny Williams and Robert Redmond won the 2012 Home Internationals here in Pontins North Wales tonight. This is the only the fourth time in the history of RIBSA that we have won the prince of Wales title after victories in 1993, 2000 and 2001.
