All Referees must keep their yearly SBI membership up to date to keep your Accreditation active otherwise you lose your Accreditation. You must also attend a child protection safeguarding course and be Garda Vetted every year by SBI.

Would you like to be trained to become a qualified SBI Referee?
Snooker & Billiards Ireland hold training courses throughout the season for our members. A candidate must attend 6 hours tuition with a Tutor or Examiner. These 6 hours may be broken down to 3 X 2 hour seminars on Rules of Snooker, Positioning and Match Preparation.
When 6 hours are completed the Candidate is given an oral exam and asked to referee a match minimum of 5 Frames. If the Candidate is successful they are awarded a class 3 Snooker Referee and is also registered with EBSA (European Billiards and Snooker Association)
