The first semi final turned out to be a interesting match where John Kehoe scoring steady sailed into a 120 lead over Wayne Doyle and kept that lead for 75 minutes of the 90 minute duration and was looking like he was comfortably going on to the final until Wayne getting the balls to the top of the table kept the table for most part of the remaining 15 minutes and scrape over the line.
The other semi final was a nip and tuck match for most of the 90 minutes with Ross taking and lead then Lloyd coming back before Lloyd scoring the more consistent got his lead up and kept it till time was called .
Into the final Wayne was first to show with a 137 break which put Lloyd on the back foot from the start. After the long days play Lloyd’s game started to struggle and Wayne scoring the more consistent took the title for the 5th year in a row. Congratulations to Lloyd reaching a ranking event final. And well done to Wayne .
