Snooker & Billiards Ireland held the 2023 World Disability (WDBS) Irish Open in the Snooker and Billiards Ireland (SBI) HQ Carlow over the weekend from the 28th-30th of July.
Congratulations to our three SBI members won their WDBS Classification to become the 2023 Irish Open Champions.
- Dylan Rees from Dungarvan – Classification 7 Champion
- Danny Kelly from Wicklow – Classification 3 Champion
- Oscar Ellison Gibbons from Dublin – Classification 6A Champion
On hand to Congratulate them was SBI Treasurer John Tobin from Trim to present them with their certificate and Medal at the closing ceremony.
These events carried full-ranking status and was open to players from all eight disability classification groups throughout the successful weekend of top class Snooker
Big well done to Colvin O Brien from Carlow and John McCarthy from Waterford who won silver medals in their Classification.
