The stage is set for the Snooker & Billiards Ireland finals weekend in the SBI HQ Academy of Excellence in Carlow on Saturday the 21st and Sunday 22nd of May.
16 players have now qualified for the 2022 Irish Amateur Snooker Championships which will be played out over the weekend to find the Irish Amateur Champion for 2022.

Also over the weekend we will also see the semi-final and Final of the Challenge and Intermediate Snooker Championships plus the Senior and Intermediate Billiards Finals so will be an exciting weekend of Snooker & Billiards.

The TD for the championship will be Shane Mason and all the referees and markers are lined up to make it a memorable weekend of sport in the HQ in Carlow. All players must remember that all the Championships are in full dress ie. Waistcoat, BowTie and we wish all the players good luck.

On Sunday at 13.45pm SBI will make the presentations to our Award winners for 2022. If you are around Carlow call in to watch the best players in Ireland.

- SBI Referee of the year award – Steven Foster
- SBI Player’s player of the year – Rodney Goggins (1 vote per member done at the various championship)
- SBI Club of year award – St John’s Limerick
- SBI Hall of Fame – Ken Doherty
