Snooker & Billiards Ireland (SBI) held a Coaching Day on the opening morning of the 2025 WDBS Irish Open in the Snooker and Billiards Ireland Academy of Excellence in Carlow on Friday 21st November.

National Coach PJ Nolan, and SBI Coach Shane Gorman were on hand to assist all the players from around Ireland, Wales and England. All the players received a gold medal and a handout to remember the day.

The day was hailed a big success and SBI hope to organise more National Disability Event in 2026.

In attandance today was Ken Murnane who is a current Carlow County Councillor who was recently appointed Cathaoirleach (chair) of Carlow County Council. Ken potted great and also won a medal. He welcomed all the players and wished them good luck in the Championships and thanked everyone for coming to Carlow.
