Snooker & Billiards Ireland announced the 2024 SBI Coach of the year Award went to Con Walsh from Crucible SC in Cork during finals weekend in the SBI Academy of Excellence in Carlow on Sunday the 19th of May.
This week 1997 World Champion Ken Doherty and David Joyce from SBI made the presentation to Con in front of the large attendance at a recent Exhibition in Cork.
The full list of Award winners for 2024 were;
- Services to Snooker award (Volunteer) – Phil Martin ( Celbridge Snooker Club)
- SBI Coach of the year award – Con Walsh
- SBI Referee of the year award – Shane Gorman
- SBI TD of the year award – John Kehoe
- SBI Player’s player of the year (OVER 21yrs) – Ryan Cronin (1 vote per member)
- SBI Junior Player’s player of the year (U- 21) – Leone Crowley (1 vote per member)
- SBI Billiards Players player of the year – Jason Dowling (1 vote per billiard member)
- SBI Club of year award – Nenagh SC
- SBI Hall of Fame – Jimmy Long
