This week the 5th & 6th of November RIBSA held a two day training camp for The World IBSF Snooker Championship with our National Coach PJ Nolan in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow.
RIBSA organised the camp to help our Republic of Ireland players Michael Judge, Brendan O Donoghue, David Hogan, Mark Tuite, Shane Gorman and Stephen Merrigan to prepare for the Championship which will be held from the 28th November to the 8th of December in Latvia.
The players trained from 11am – 4pm and PJ worked on videoing the players on his academy routines while working on their mind fitness on the psychology of the game. They also practiced some Long Potting, Safety, Match-Play and Break Building routines.
Each player received a DVD of their action during the lesson and sports psychology booklet and audio to help with their mind fitness. RIBSA would like to thank Marian Leacy and the Ivy Rooms for the use of the tables for the day.

The cost of holding a RIBSA session is €20.00 per hour coaching time plus €20.00 per hour travel time from Carlow plus tolls and parking. If you would like to travel to the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow you can avail of a 2hr session for €55.00 which includes Lights, DVD of the lesson and Technique profile.
