RIBSA President Jim Leacy and RIBSA Chairman Dylan Rees along with Ger Murray from the Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association (RIBSA) have just presented the 2020 RIBSA Referee of the year award to Neil Shanahan from Celbridge on Saturday the 26th of September in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow.
This award is open to all current Registered Referees and selected by the Referees Association each year. Neil was chosen as the winner this year, Neil has a vast of experience of refereeing all around the world in amateur and professional events. He is also a Referee Tutor who trains and guides new referees into our sport.
After the award was presented the re-brand of the Association took place and from now on the award will be called Snooker & Billiards Referee of the year Award.
