Philip Browne from Dublin won the National 6red Snooker Championship on Sunday the 7th of June in the SBI Academy in Carlow during SBI Finals weekend. In the final Philip beat John O Sullivan 7frames to 2 in a great final, that was refereed by Brendan Devlin.
Philip Browne won the high break trophy with a 72 break. SBI Chairman John Tobin and SBI President Jim Leacy presented the awards and the perpetual cup.
The 2026 SBI National 6 Red Championships was held in the SBI Academy of Excellence in Carlow on Saturday 28th February. The finalists who qualified for the final are Philip Browne from Dublin and John O Sullivan from Kilkenny Shed.
This final will be played during finals weekend in the SBI Academy in Carlow on the weekend of 5th – 7th of June.
The final promises to be a great match in a best of 13 frames to crown the National 6red Champion.
The TD was Shane Mason and all matches were the best of 9’s up to the final.
In the semi finals Philip Browne had a great win over Alan O Connor from Cork 5-3 while John O Sullivan beat former pro Michael Judge 5-0 in the other semi final. Philip Browne holds the high break with a 72 break.
