Congratulations to Ireland’s Paula Judge on reaching the Semi Finals of the 2026 European Women’s Snooker Championships in the Ramada Sofia City Centre Hotel this week.
Snooker & Billiards Ireland had 5 players playing in this singles Championships here in Bulgaria. Michelle Sherwin, Margaret O’Driscoll, Ashling Cawley, Paula Judge and Elle O’Connor all performed excellent in the Championships.
Paula had great wins along the way to the Semi-final to earn her first International Medal but ran into the Number 1 seed Tessa Davidson from England today.
Earlier Paula had beaten Latvia’s Anna Prysazhnuka the defending European Champion in the Q-Final. SBI Chairman John Tobin was on hand at the medal ceremony tonight to congratulate Paula on her fantastic achievement on winning the Bronze medal.
Michelle Sherwin, Margaret O’Driscoll and Paula Judge had all qualified for the knock out stages and it was Rebecca Kenna from England who won the title beating Tessa Davidson in the final.

The 2026 European Womens Snooker Championships are being held in the Ramada Sofia City Centre. We had 5 talented lady players playing in the Championships this year, which bodes well for the future of the womens game in Ireland.
