Congratulations to Ireland’s Paudie Kelly on reaching the Semi Finals of the 2026 European Super Seniors Snooker Championships in the Ramada Sofia City Centre Hotel this week.
Snooker & Billiards Ireland had 6 players playing in this singles Championships here in Bulgaria. Paudie Kelly, Stephen Merrigan, Paul Kellett, Mick Dalton, Paul Arnold and John Carney competed in the event.
Earlier Paudie had beaten several top players on route to the semi-finals. SBI Chairman John Tobin was on hand at the medal ceremony tonight to congratulate Paudie on his fantastic achievement on winning the bronze medal.
Paudie had great wins to earn his first International Medal but ran into the Number 1 seed Darren Morgan from Wales who went on to win the title.
This was the third medal for SBI this week at this Europeans with Paula Judge winning Bronze in the Women’s Championship and Brendan O Donoghue also winning Bronze in the Seniors Championship.
Well done Paudie from everyone involved in Snooker & Billiards Ireland.
