O’Donoghue Wins Seniors Over 40 Event 1

The first Senior Event of the season was held on Sunday 10th September in the SBI Academy in Carlow.

There was 25 entries in this event and it was Brendan O Donoghue who wins his maiden Senior title.

There was an early meeting between Mark Tuite and Frank Sarsfield which Mark came through before making it all the way to the final.

The two semi finals were a very high standard where Mark Tuite beating Donal Foran 3-1 and the other Semi Final Brendan O Donoghue just beat Rodney Goggins in a classic 3-1. The final was top class with Brendan coming the winner 3-1 to take the title.

The high break prize was taken by Brendan O Donoghue with a break of 99.
