This weekend our RIBSA National Coach PJ Nolan held a two day Coaching Zone in The Northwest Snooker Club in Letterkenny, Donegal.
The Northwest Snooker Club owner John Doherty organised the coaching weekend to help promote the standard of play within his club and within the North West region. PJ was really impressed with the players who attended, talented Juniors like Eamon Harkin, Ronan Whyte, Sean Devenney and Kyle Gormley who PJ believes will be future stars of the future in the game.
The players were very eager to learn about how to improve their technique and ways to improve their Break Building. PJ worked on the players Cue Action, Grip, Stance, Address Position as PJ believes building up the correct fundamentals at this stage will help them develop into better players.
The players also practiced some of PJ’s key academy routines to improve their Break Building and Long Potting Skills. Each player was recorded and received a DVD of the session to study more at home. The players also received a profile on their Techniques with the main areas that are needed for improvement.
John Doherty said the players really enjoyed the Coaching from PJ and it was great to watch the players training so good and he hopes they keep up the training now.
