Mind Session and Training Weekend for International Teams

Snooker & Billiards Ireland held our final Training Weekend for our International Snooker & Billiard players who are playing in the 2025 Home Internationals on Saturday and Sunday the 26th / 27th July in the Academy in Carlow from 11am-4pm.

SBI hold Camps each year to allow our players train in a camp with our National Coach PJ Nolan who is also a WPBSA Coach and Head of Coaching in the European Billiards & Snooker Association. Mind Coach Evan Mcgrath from Serenity of Mind Sports attended to support the players in a session to improve their mind set on 26th of July.

Training Camps

Our SBI National Coach held sessions on Break-Building, Safety, Long Potting and Technique checks. All the players received a training program booklet with practice drills plus a sports phycology booklet to help them work on their mind fitness.

Mind Coach Evan McGrath from Serenity of Mind Sports held sessions to improve the players mind set with a slideshow and video’s on the mental side of the game and what our players can do to get ahead of the others.

Training Aids

The latest training aids were used in the camps to enhance the sessions like the Mini Domin Eye, Master Doctor, Str8aim SA-1 & SA-2, Chris Henry Balls, Academy laser, EBSA Coaching Balls to help to get them on the line of aim and develop a smoother stroke in their delivery.
