The final of the Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association Masters Championships will be between Rodney Goggins from Liam Mellows SC Wexford and John Farrell from Fairview SC Dublin will be played on Sunday the 20th of May @ 2pm in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club, Carlow.
This year the guaranteed prize fund will be €1, 050.00 and all matches were the best of 7 frames and it was a great event again this year with Rodney beating Frank Sarsfield from St Johns Limerick 4-2 while John Farrell beat Michael Judge from Q Club Wicklow in a repeat of the final last year but it was Farrell who won this time 4-0.

Please Note : The final will not be played during RIBSA Finals weekend 11th – 13th May in the Ivy Rooms SC as Rodney Goggins reached the Senior Final.

The closing date for entries is Saturday 14th April at 6pm with the draw published on the web site soon after.
- One Day Membership
‘Following representation from Club owners RIBSA have decided to introduced one day / one event membership fee. The cost of this membership is €5.00 and is only valid for the duration of each particular event. It is hoped that this will encourage more participation in RIBSA Events”
- Entry Fees
The cost of entry for Masters Tournaments will be €20.00 plus RIBSA registration of €15.00, Waistcoats must be worn for all matches. National Waistcoats are not permissible.
- Tournament Prize Fund
RIBSA have guaranteed a prize fund of €1,000 for this years Masters National Championship.

The 2016 – 2017 RIBSA Master Snooker Ranking Series featured 6 Ranking events and now the National Snooker Championships this season. These rankings will be used to select the master International players.
