16 year old Josh Boileau from Newbridge CYMS who is the current Irish Under 18 Champion lost four frames to three to the current European under 17 champion Mateusz Baranowski from Poland in the Last 16 of the European Under 21 Championships here in Bulgaria today.
The match was the best of 7 frames and Josh won the first frame before the Poland schoolboy went 2-1 up. Back came the irish champion to lead 3-2 only for Mateusz to fight back to win 4-3.
He will now play Michael Leslie from Scotland at 12 noon Irish time later today.
