Snooker & Billiards Ireland held a very successful Junior Shoot Out in the SBI Academy of Excellence in Carlow on Sunday the 29th of June. PJ Nolan was the TD on the day and this event featured the best 32 Junior players from all across Ireland. Conor Doyle was the referee in charge.
Joe Shannon from Longford won the 2025 Title in style when he beat Ben du Bois from Galway in a superb final. Joe had a fantastic event to win this National title against Ben who won the Snooker scholarship in Maynooth University for the next season.
In the semi-final Joe beat Jack O Brien from Limerick in a repeat of the 2025 U-18 National a few weeks ago. in the other semi final Ben beat Fionn Nagle from Dungarvan to reach his first National Final.
Four Seperate Draws were made to qualify 16 players for the knock out stage in the afternoon. All players were guaranteed a minimum of four matches on the day in the special format.

10 Minute Matches
- All matches were one frame, with a time limit of 10 minutes per match.
- A beep will started the matches in the venue, and a 3,2,1 beep ended all matches.
- A recommended 15sec Shot Clock will be used but if player trying to delay the clock, they received a YELLOW warning. On receiving a second warning in the event a player will forfeit the match.
- The Tournament officials on the day monitored this to ensure the smooth running.
