The Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow have just completed all the work in their preparation for the World IBSF Team & 6 Red Championships. The Championship will begin on the 29th of September and runs until the 6th of October and will feature the best Amateur players from all around the World.
The Championships will be played on the new eleven Shender match snooker tables that have been fitted and The Ivy Rooms have just announced a good offer to all RIBSA players who will compete in the Championship of €20.00 for 3hrs practice anytime up to the 28th of September to help the Irish player train on the new tables.
The Shender tables are the official table for all IBSF and ACBS Amateur International events and the new lay out in the Ivy Rooms has more space between each table and a large spectators area to make it into one of the best venues in the world.
RIBSA Training Camp
Our national Coach PJ Nolan held a two day Training Camp in the Ivy Rooms on the 16th & 17th of September to prepare the Irish team for the Championship. Each player was videoed and received a DVD of the lesson plus sports psychology audio to study at home to help them prepare their best . Training started at 11am each day and ran until 4pm on both days.
