Statement to Roadmap for Reopening Society & Business
Following the publication of the governments “Roadmap for Reopening Society & Business” and their proposal to Permit “behind closed doors” sporting activities events where arrangements are in place to enable participants to maintain social distancing, RIBSA have formed a working group to engage with Sport Ireland to provide detailed proposals to prepare comprehensively for a return to playing our sports.
Under the Roadmap, indoor sports will be permitted to reopen in phase 3, starting June 29th. RIBSA propose to organise a national/regional tournament asap after this date as a test run prior to running the 2020 national championships before the end of the year.
When our proposals are in place RIBSA will publish guidance to our clubs and members on how best to reopen in a controlled and gradual manner.
