Rodney Goggins won the Snooker & Billiards Ireland Club Singles Snooker Championships for 2023 on Sunday the 9th of July in the SBI HQ in Carlow. This annual event is for our Registered Clubs to nominate a max of three players to play for a National Snooker Singles Title..
There were 9 players that played in this event from five different clubs, and it was Rodney Goggins who took the title for the third time.
In the first semi-final it was no 1 seed Ross Bulman who took on Aaron Goldrick and came through a comfortable 3-1 winner. In the second semi-final it was no 2 seed Rodney Goggins who beat Barry Drake with a comfortable 3-0 win.
The final itself was contested between the 2 top seeds in which Rodney Goggins won by 3 frames to 1. It was Ross who took the first frame to take an early lead, but Rodney then reeled off 3 frames to become the National Club Singles Champion for the third time.

The Entry fee was €20 for each player and payabale on the day to the TD.

The dress code for this Championship is:
- SBI POLO SHIRTS
- Dark Shoes (no runners)
- Dark one coloured trousers (no jeans)
- One coloured shirt buttoned at the wrist
- Club Waistcoats
- National Waistcoats are not permissible
