Adam Fitzgerald from the Youghal club won the first U/16 Cue School at St. Conleth’s CYMS, Newbridge on Sunday March 3rd. The 3 – 0 score line in the final did not reflect how well his opponent Charlie Sweeney from the host club had played throughout the tournament. However, Adam held his nerve the better in the final to record a very impressive win.
In the U/14 final Corey Ramsbottom (Ivy Rooms) had a hard fought win over Fergal Quinn (Tyrone) by a score of 3 frames to 1. All the players are to be congratulated for the standard of play throughout the tournament and for the sporting manner in which it was played.
