Douglas Snooker Club in Donnybrook Cork city has confirmed with RIBSA to hold the 2012 National Under 19 and 21 Snooker Championships on Saturday and Sunday 3rd & 4th of March.
PJ Nolan met club owners Karl and Martin Busteed this week in Cork and Karl showed PJ around his club which is one of the best in the country.
The snooker club contains 10 quality Snooker tables and 2 Pool Tables.
Cork players have always played and won major events over the years within RIBSA and on the morning PJ called into the club, former champion Anthony O Connor was in practicing.
Karl was delighted to stage both RIBSA National junior championships in Cork this season and It is hoped by holding the championships in Cork that it will help promote more juniors in Cork to get more involved playings Snooker in Cork and within RIBSA.
With the likes of Irish International players David Cassidy, Ryan Cronin and Daniel O Regan among the favourites for the titles in March it could be a winner all-round for Cork snooker.
