On Saturday 9th August, SBI snooker coach Shane Gorman & national disability coach Dylan Rees held a disability training day for Ireland’s disability players in the SBI Academy (Laois/Carlow).
A total of 10 players participated in the days training & coaching which included individual coaching from Shane on players technique including bridge hand, stance & grip.
The use of the ‘Chris Henry’ balls was also utilised by Shane & Dylan to aid the players in Centre ball striking. The 2nd half of the day was used to pair players into competitive drills against each other with emphasis on potting, safety play & decision making.
A thoroughly enjoyable day was had by all who attended, and everyone commented that they took many positives from their participation.
