Jimmy Hussey owner of the Crucible Snooker Club in Cork has confirmed with RIBSA to hold the third Intermediate ranking event in the west region on Saturday the 3rd of December.
Jimmy met with our National Coach PJ Nolan this week in Cork and showed him around his club which contains 8 Snooker tables and 2 Pool Tables.
The Crucible Snooker club has helped over the years to produce a number of International players like Greg Casey, David Cassidy, Ryan Cronin Tony Moore, and Daniel O Regan among the few.
Jimmy was delighted to get involved in holding an Intermediate event in Cork for the first time in a number of years and it is hoped that more Cork players will play in the Intermediate series this season.
The South -West region will feature events in The Victoria SC in Limerick, New Institute Nenagh and now the Crucible SC Cork.
There will also be four other regions around Ireland playing on the same day so there is a region to suit players from all around Ireland.

Southeast Region Clubs – Ivy Rooms SC Carlow, Newbridge CYMS and Sharkx SC Newbridge
Dublin Region – Celrbidge SC, Crossguns SC and Spawell SC
Northwest Region – Northwest Snooker Club and CYMS Letterkenny
Northeast Region – Dundalk TBA, The Royal S.C. Navan and Cavan SC
Southwest Region – Victoria S.C and New Institute Nenagh, Crucible SC Cork.
