Last week The Crucible Snooker Club in Cork city held a PJ Nolan Junior Snooker Coaching day. Club owner Jim Hussey has transformed the club and PJ was very impressed with a new modern look and by the number of talented young players like Sean Burns and Dean Callaghan.
Cork junior snooker is now sky high in Ireland with young Aaron Tobin number 1 in the 19’s and Ryan Cronin number 1 in the 21’s. PJ believes it will not be long until the new batch of Cork juniors will be following Greg Casey, David Cassidy, Chris Cooney and Ryan Cronin onto the Irish Under 19 and 21 National Team.
Each player had a one hour session with PJ and they were videoed and received a DVD of the action to study at home. PJ Nolan is a world snooker coach, The European head coach and the National RIBSA coach gave each player the key technical points to work on to improve their own game until their next training session.
Jim Hussey said that all the players enjoyed the coaching and it was a great to watch PJ guiding our new juniors into becoming the new stars of the future. The Club hopes to hold another coaching day in 2013.

The cost of holding a coaching session is €15.00 per hour travel time from Carlow plus €20.00 per hour coaching fee ( Min 2 hrs ). All tolls and parking fees must also be paid if needed.
