On Saturday the 28th of June from 11am-4pm in the SBI HQ in Carlow, SBI held a special team training day with our National Coach PJ Nolan to help prepare our players for the 2025 Celtic Junior Challenge which be held on Saturday the 5th of July in the SBI HQ in Carlow and the 2025 IBSF U-21 Championships in Bahrain in July.
The 2025 Celtic Challenge Teams
This event features four Under 14 and the top four Under 16 players in this annual Junior Celtic Challenge against the Welsh.

National Coach PJ Nolan and Paul Keighery will be the Team Coach/Manager for this event. Wales are the defending Champions after they beat Ireland in Wales in 2024.

Coaching on the Day
PJ held session on Break-Building, Safety, Long Potting and Technique checks. The latest training aids were used to help to get the players on the line of aim and develop a smoother stroke in their delivery.
Aaron Donnelly won the Break Building and Match-Play Challenges while Joe Shannon won the Long Potting, Cue Ball Control and the Game Challenges. All the players performed excellent at the camp and our National Coach is very Confident of an Irish win this year!!!
