David Cassidy won his final group match today against Jeff Jacobs from Belgium in the World Under 21 Snooker Championships here in Beijing China.
The Cork man needed to win to qualify and he really had had to fight hard as he found himself three frames to one down to the Belgium Champion. Cassidy came back like a champion which included a top break of 90 to win the next three frames to cheer up the Irish camp.
As the National Coach I am very proud of David performance today and whoever he plays in the knock outs he will have to start better if he is to win but he played excellent today to win.
