The European Under 21 Snooker Championship knock out rounds begin in Sofia Bulgaria tonight. They will feature our four RIBSA players Karl Fitzpatrick, David Cassidy, Josh Boileau and Ryan Cronin who all qualified easily from their groups.
Key frames and matches lost by our players means they will face difficult opponents in the later rounds but the players remain confident.Ryan Cronin will be the highest ranked RIBSA player after 4 wins from five matches in the group stages.
Ryan will be seeded No.14 for the last 32 round where he will face Josh Boileau in an all Irish battle after Josh the No.19 seed beat Villus Schuite from Lithuania 3 frames to nil.
Karl Fitzpatrick was seeded No. 34 but he lost 1-3 to Lukas Kieckers from Germany and the German will now play the No. 2 Seed Eden Sharav from Scotland.
David Cassidy was seeded No.32 for the knock outs but lost 0-3 to Alexis Callewaert from France and the french player will now face the No.1 seed Joel Walker from England.
The last 32 will be played at 6pm Irish time.
