16 year old Josh Boileau from Newbridge CYMS won the National Under 19 Snooker Championship in the Douglas Snooker Club in Cork City on Saturday. In the final he beat the Irish number 1 Ryan Cronin from Cork 3 frames to 1 in a superb final.
The standard was very high with a number of great matches and high breaks with Josh Boileau winning the highest break trophy with a superb 123 break in the semi final against David Cassidy. Other high breaks were 93, 88 by Ryan Cronin, 79 by Chris Cooney and 75 by David Cassidy.
The Douglas Snooker Club was looking fantastic with superb table conditions in helping Josh become the Under 19 National Champion for 2012.
