Super Senior event 4 of 2024/25 season took place in the New Institute club in Nenagh on Sunday January19. Pick of the early rounds was an excellent match between two old rivals Stephen Merrigan and Ernie McMullen which went the distance with Ernie coming out on top on the pink.
The semi-finals were contested by Mark Tuite v. Patsy Farrell, Mark winning 3 – 0 and Tommy Murphy getting the better of Frank Sarsfield 3 – 2. In the final Mark proved too strong for Tommy winning the match 3 frames to 0.
TD Tony Thorpe thanked the New Institute club on behalf of SBI for hosting the tournament and presenting the tables in fantastic condition as per usual. Tony also paid tribute to the payers for a great day of match snooker and congratulated the prize winners for their excellent performances.
