Congratulations to Michael Judge who beat Fergal O’Brien 4-2 in a hard fought battle in Carlow which was refereed by Neil Shanahan to secure his place back at the Crucible in May at the World Seniors Championship.
Snooker, Billiards Ireland were delighted to be chosen by World Seniors Snooker to host this World Seniors Snooker Championship qualifier from 23rd-25th February 2024.
The winner receives a place at the famous Crucible Theatre in Sheffield against the stars of the game for the 2024 LLP Solicitors World Seniors Snooker Championship from the 8th to the 12th May and SBI wish Michael good luck!!
There was also a Super Seniors event held on the Sunday where Irelands John McCarthy from Waterford reached the final where he played Gary Filtness from England and it was the former pro from England who took the title which was refereed by Shane Mason.
