Johnny Friel representing the home club won the first ever Leinster Intermediate Close Tournament hosted by Potters Snooker Club Drogheda. The tournament attracted 21 entries with play commencing at 10am. there was some excellent matches throughout the day but in the end Martin Thorpe (Newbridge CYMS) contested the final with Johnny. Johnny deserved his win by 3 Frames – 1.
The high break prize was won by Paul Griffin (Potters) with an excellent 96.
The Leinster association would like to thank Philip and Dean Washington for running the event and for the hospitality shown to all the competitors and look forward to returning to Potters in the future.
