Dear Members,
On behalf of the EBSA Board, I am delighted to inform you that no less than 42 member countries have entered their players to participate in this year’s European Snooker Championships to be held in Albufeira / Portugal. As you know, because of the exceptional situation with COVID-19 it was decided to play all 9 Championships back to back from the 2nd till the 17th October 2021 starting with the U18’s competition.
We are just victim of our success – On behalf of the EBSA board, I would like to thank you for your support.
But, because of the very big numbers of entries, especially in the 6 Reds Snooker and Seniors (+40) championships, we’ll have no other option than to add an extra session to each of those 2 competitions as follows :
– 6 Reds Snooker :Championships
o According to the invitation letter, the first session was due to start on Thursday 7th October at 10 am
o An extra session will now be played on Wednesday 6th October at 7pm
o Only 32 players will be concerned of that changes and will be selected according to their arrival details in Albufeira
o Players who have already booked their flights and will arrive in the afternoon of the 6th October will NOT be selected to play that extra session
– Single Seniors Championships:
o According to the invitation letter, the first session was due to start on Tuesday 12th October at 10 am
o An extra session will now be played on Monday 11th October at 7pm immediately after the Players meeting
o Only 32 players will be concerned of that changes and will be selected according to their arrival details in Albufeira
o Players who have already booked their flights and will arrive in the afternoon of the 11th October will NOT be selected to play that extra session
May I please ask you to inform your players and send me their approval as soon as possible ? Should any of your players would not be ready to play that extra session, please feel free to let me know asap.
