Snooker & Billiards Ireland (SBI) would like to announce they will hold four National Junior Snooker Championships in the month of November and December in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow and Newbridge CYMS.
- Sunday the 1st of November – 2020 National Under 16 Championships ( Newbridge CYMS)
- Saturday the 14th of November – 2020 National Under 14 Championships ( Ivy Rooms)
- Sunday the 15th of November – 2020 National Under 21 Championships ( Ivy Rooms)
- Sunday the 6th of December – 2020 National Under 18 Championships (Ivy Rooms)
You must enter on line for all SBI events via the new on line payment system and it promises to be an exciting series of Junior Championships to end the season with so many young talented Junior players from all around Ireland competing for their prestigious National Title.

Entry Fees
The entry fee for all Junior events is set at €15.00 plus Reg. Trophies will be awarded to the winner and runner up and the event will be played out on the day to find the Champion.
Dress Code
This Event will be played in full dress, Pants, Long Sleeve Short, Waistcoat and Shoes. Bow-Ties are required for the Finals.
Enter On Line
For all SBI events the players will have to be a member and be registered for this season. When you registered you created a username and password, you must do this before you will be allowed in to enter an event. Any issues with entering you should email info@sbireland.ie.
Memberships
Membership can be purchased on line for 16-20 yrs old it is €12.00, Under 16’s it is €7.00. If you would just like to buy a one day/event membership you can avail of this for €7.00 but please remember this will expire 2 days after the event.
Format
All matches are the best of 5 frames and the seeds for this event will be based on the current SBI ranking before COVID-19 put a halt to the season. The TD for all Championships will be our National Coach PJ Nolan.
Closing Date
The closing date for all Championships will be 9am on the morning of the event and the draw will be done at 10am through the new on line system that makes the draw automatically on line.
Strict SBI COVID-19 protocols
All National Championships will be played within our SBI COVID-19 protocols. All the players will have their temperature taken when they arrive at the venue.
Only the players playing plus the TD and Referee will allowed into the playing area. One parent or guardian is allowed to accompany an under 18 player in the large seating area but no Supporters will be allowed in the venue. Each player will have his own equipment on a designated side of the table. The Equipment will be sterilised after each match.
- National Under 16 Championship
The Under 16 National Snooker Championship will start everything off. Under 16 Players Please Note: Players should be less than 16 years old on the 31st December 2019.
- National Under 14 Championship
Next up is the Under 14 National Snooker Championship. Under 14 Players Please Note: Players should be less than 14 years old on the 31st December 2019.
- National Under 21 Championship
Next up is the Under 21 National Snooker Championship. Under 21 Players Please Note: Players should be less than 21 years old on the 31st December 2019.
- National Under 18 Championship
The Under 18 National Snooker Championship. Under 18 Players Please Note: Players should be less than 18 years old on the 31st December 2019.
