Snooker & Billiards Ireland (SBI) would like to announce they will hold the 2020 National Masters Snooker Championships in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow on Saturday the 31st of October and Sunday the 1st of November.
This year’s Championships will be played over two days with the qualifying rounds played on Saturday and the final stages played on the Sunday. Depending on the number of entries, The TD Shane Mason will decide on what stage will be played on the Sunday. All matches will be the best of 7 frames up to the final. The final is the best of 9 frames.

All players must enter on line for all SBI events via the new on line payment system and it promises to be an exciting Masters Championships to end the season.
Entry Fees
The entry fee for all Masters events is set at €25.00 plus Reg. Trophies will be awarded to the winner and runner up and this event will be played out the weekend to crown the Champion. The defending Champion is Michael Judge.
Dress Code
This Event will be played in full dress, Pants, Long Sleeve Short, Waistcoat and Shoes. Bow-Ties are required for Sunday stages.
Enter On Line
For all SBI events the players will have to be a member and be registered for this season. When you registered, you created a username and password, you must do this before you will be allowed in to enter an event. Any issues with entering they should email info@sbireland.ie.
Memberships
Membership can be purchased on line, Over 21 yrs old membership is €17.00. If you would just like to buy a one day/event membership you can avail of this for €7.00 but please remember this will expire 2 days after the event.
Seeds
The seeds for this event will be based on the current SBI ranking before COV-19 put a halt to the season. The TD for the Championships will be Shane Mason.
Closing Date
The closing date for this Championships will be the Friday before the tournament 1pm. The draw will be done through the new on line system which makes the draw automatically on the web site.
Strict SBI COVID-19 protocols
All National Championships will be played within our SBI COVID-19 protocols. All the players will have their temperature taken when they arrive at the venue.
Only the players playing plus the TD and Referee will allowed into the playing area. No Supporters will be allowed in the venue. Each player will have his own equipment on a designated side of the table. The Equipment will be sterilised after each match.
