The 2017 Annual General Meeting of the Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association was held on Saturday the 6th of May during the Irish Snooker Championship finals weekend in the Ivy Rooms Snooker in Carlow.
Outgoing President Eamon Kearns, Chairman Jim Leacy, Secretary Tony Thorpe, Treasurer Anthony Bonnar and Vice Chairman Ger Murray was elected unopposed.
James Bateman, Adrian McMahon, Pat Mooney, Geraldine McQuade and Neil Shanahan were elected to council and Shane Mason was co-opted onto the Committee. A good discussion on the future of Irish Snooker and their plans over the next season was discussed with the members who attended the AGM from 1.30pm – 5pm.
Chairman Jim Leacy said ” He was delighted with the new ideas from the AGM and he looks forward to working hard on developing the game next season with his new committee.
