This week Volunteer Ireland officially announced the 2020 Volunteer Ireland Awardees and we are so proud to announce our very own SBI Treasurer John Tobin was one of the Leinster Region volunteer’s winners.
SBI would like to congratulate John and his family on receiving this award and it is fantastic to see him being recognised for all his hard work with Special Olympics.
John said ‘’ I have been very fortunate over many years to have had the wonderful support and dedication of my wife Patricia children Natasha, Vanessa, Melissa and Aimee and their families. The wonderful friends who supported me in the various fundraising activities. These funds have supported those less fortunate than ourselves.
I have worked with highly motivated and dedicated people from all over Ireland. I have had a wonderful experience and met wonderful people. This award is as much yours as its mine. Thanks for all the messages from all over the world. A special thank you to Special Olympics for the Nomination ‘’
