Snooker & Billiards Ireland (SBI) held a Snooker Summer Camp this week for our members in the SBI HQ in Carlow on the 25th – 27th of June.
SBI Summer Camps are held each year to allow our members to train with our National Coach PJ Nolan who is also a WPBSA Coach and Head of Coaching in the European Billiards & Snooker Association.
The Players
Players from Kerry, Carlow, Laois, Wicklow and Waterford attended this 3 day Camp which was open to SBI members. The price was €15.00 per player per day for training from 11am – 4pm. The players could book 1 day, 2 days or all 3 days and they practiced on Star, Rasson or on the Mini Star Snoker tables during this summer camp.
Latest Coaching Aids
PJ held session on Break-Building, Safety, Long Potting and Technique checks. The latest training aids were used to help to get the players on the line of aim and develop a smoother stroke in their delivery.

Each student received Group Coaching, Coaching Technique Profile and a SBI Training Booklet. If players had a USB Pen Drive they received the movies from the camp. During the camp various mini tournaments were held to give the players vital match practice.
