The final of the last Snooker & Billiards Ireland Seniors ranking event of the season took place in the 1 Eleven club in Cappoquin, a high-quality purpose-built snooker arena that has seen the greats of our game in recent years.
Hosted and refereed by Michael ‘dots’ Doherty the match broke of at 7pm and became a tight affair of great quality. Frank taking the opening frame on the pink after being nearly fifty ahead.
Benny hit back straight away with some great potting to secure the second frame only to see Frank yet again take the lead with two great breaks of 40 plus.

On to frame four and Frank Sarsfield is in the ascendancy winning the frame with ease, again making two sizeable breaks to pull away and go 3-1 ahead.
Frame 5 goes scrappy with Sarsfield pulling ahead early on only for Benny to pull it back to all square with only 18 left on the table. After a period of safety it’s Frank that takes the frame with an outstanding blue and pink and of course the match 4-1
SBI would like to thank Michael Doherty for his hospitality. The players were delighted by the playing conditions.
