Margaret O Driscoll from Killarney won the National Women’s Snooker Championship on Sunday the 7th of June in the SBI Academy in Carlow during SBI Finals weekend. In the final Margaret beat Michelle Sherwin from Dublin in a high quality final 4 frames to 2 to take the title.

In the semi finals Michelle beat Paula Judge while Margaret O Driscoll beat Ashling Cawley. SBI Chairman John Tobin presented the awards and the new perpetual cup.

It has been a fantastic year of Women’s Snooker and SBI hope to grow the game more next season and it promises to be an exciting year with so many top players playing on the SBI Women’s Tour.
