Edenderry’s Liam Dunne won the Snooker & Billiards Ireland (SBI) second event on the 2024-2025 SBI 16’s Snooker Tour in Hotshots SC Galway on Sunday the 17th November. This coming season PJ Nolan’s 147academy will be the title sponsor for all the SBI Junior Tours this season.
Liam won the The Brendan O Donoghue Cup and beat Max Kennedy from the host club Hot Shots SC in a great final 3 frames to 2 which was refereed by International referee Steven Foster. Liam is having a fantastic season as he has already won the first two 14 Events this year.
16 players from all over Ireland entered the event and TD Paul Keighery was very impressed with the amount of talent on show. The quality of Match-Play and potting skills was excellent from all the players.

This season SBI will be holding four ranking events in 16’s and a National 16’s Championships.
Age Limit
The SBI Age limit will be the 31st December 2024 for all SBI junior events. All member must remember International criteria may vary for events. SBI will go down rankings to qualify players who meet that particular age deadline.
Plate Event
We also held a plate event for all first round losers and this was won by young Callum Behan from Classic SC in Dublin when he beat Evan Burke in a superb final.

Players should be aware that all entries are through the on line system and you have to enter before the closing date of Thursday at 1pm prior to each event.
How to Enter
All players will need to register for the new season by paying their SBI registration / membership or Renew their membership for the 2024-2025 season.

- Junior Membership is for all Under 21’s – €20.00
How to Register
If you were a member in the last three years you simply press the renewal button – CLICK HERE and use the same email and password you created when signing up to the system. You simply choose your type of membership and click and pay.
Closing Dates
The closing date for all SBI events will 1pm on the Thursday before the event. The Draw will be done automatically on the system with match times and displayed on the web site.
Format
Matches are played in a the best of 5 frames knock out format in roll on and off basis in the venue. The Q-Final, Semi Final and Final are the best of 5 frames
