James Wins 14’s Event 3

James Stewart O Reilly from ALSAA SC in Dublin won his maiden SBI title when he won the third Snooker & Billiards Ireland (SBI) Under 14 Ranking event of the season on Saturday the 18th of January in the SBI HQ Carlow. In the final James beat No.1 seed Liam Dunne from Edenderry SC in a superb final 3 frames to 1.

PJ Nolan’s 147academy are the title sponsor for all the Junior Tours this season and it was a fantastic day of Junior snooker with all the young stars of the future playing some great shots and gaining National experience on the table. PJ said ” It was another brilliant day of junior snooker with these stars of the future in action.

Everyone is improving and the standard is going up and up. Eight players entered the event today and as our National Coach I was very impressed with the young talent on show.

In the semi finals we had 4 young stars of the future. In first semi Liam beat the current U-12 National Champion James Brennan from Mayo in a very good match and James beat fast improving Luke Mundy from Cavan SC in a final frame decider. All eyes are on gaining ranking points which will help qualify them for International events later in the year.
