The second National SBI Challenge Ranking Event of the season was held in the SBI Academy in Carlow on Saturday the 11th of November. Due to the large Entry, this event was stopped at the Quarter-finals stage and was played out to its conclusion on the 25th November in the SBI HQ in Carlow with play beginning at 2pm.
SBI are very happy with the growing success of this Challenge Tour with an increase in entries as numbers were up from a previous 43 to 48 players in this event.

In the Final
After a long day the final was won by Ivor Fitzpatrick from Dublin after he beat Aman Goel from Letterkenny who was reaching his first SBI national final 3 frames to 2. The final finished at 10.30pm and was refereed by Shane Gorman.
Players travelled from all parts of the country for this event 2 on the Challenge Tour. The top 3 players in the current rankings reached the QFinals and the highest break was 77 by Ivor Fitzpatrick from Dublin.
Semi Finals
In the semi finals Ivor beat Pat Fitzgerald while Aman beat No.1 seed Adrian Doran. Match of the event was 14yr old Aaron Donnelly against No.1 seed Adrian Doran in the last 16 where the young Newbridge man played fantastic snooker only losing 2-3 to the experienced Wexford man.
