14 year old Aaron Hill from the Crucible Snooker Club in Cork won the second RIBSA U-18 Snooker Ranking event of the season in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club, Carlow on Saturday the 1st of October.
In the final Aaron beat Mark Gleeson from New Institute Snooker Club in Nenagh 3 frames to 1 in a great quality final. Aaron now receives a place at the European U-18 Championship in Cyprus in March 2017.
Ross Bulman from Youghal CYMS had won event 1 and he attend a training day with PJ today. Ross and Aaron will now attend Event 3 for further training to prepare for the European Championship in March.
The high break prize went to Noel Landers from Youghal CYMS with a superb 77 Break.

RIBSA have informed all Tournament Directors to apply RIBSA rules strictly for all future events regarding match times this season.
Any player not at the Control Desk at the time appointed for the match will forfeit one frame for being 15 minutes late or part thereof and one frame every five minutes thereafter.
Format for 2016/2017
The entry fee is €10.00. Registration Fee U-21 €10.00 and U-16’s €5.00 – Proof of age required.
Three RIBSA ranking events will be held before December with each winner receiving a ticket to the European U-21 Championships. They will be joined by the highest ranked player on the U-18 rankings.
Please note : The closing date for all RIBSA Under Age Tournaments will be 1pm on the Friday before the tournament. Waistcoats are required for all events however National waistcoats are not permitted.
Play will begin at 10.30am and the Draw will be on the RIBSA Web Site @ 3pm on the 30th of September.
